Across the nation and the world, Dr. King’s life and legacy is commemorated by a day of service and promoted as A Day On and Not a Day Off. The Martin Luther King Jr. Parade symbolizes the need to continue Dr. King’s work and reinforces the idea reflected in his words, “Human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable… every step toward the goal of justice requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the tireless exertions and passionate concern of dedicated individuals.
Join your AIDS Healthcare Foundation DC Mobilization team as we march in the Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Parade on Monday January 20, 2020
The parade will assemble in Anacosita Park located at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr Ave SE and Good Hope Road SE at 11 am. The parade will officially begin at 11:30 am and conclude roughly at 1:30 pm at the Gateway Pavillon on the campus of St. Elizabeth East at 2700 Martin Luther King Jr Ave SE.
